Essential Cat Supplies

The first of the cat supplies you will need are some tasty treats. You are going to teach your cat to come to you. And you are going to go about this training in much the same way you would with a dog. You are going to let your cat know you have a treat, sit down on the ground and call his name and say the word ‘come’. This could take a while. Frankly he may not even look at you the first few times. The hope is the treat will be enough to get his attention and have him come over to collect. If he does, give him a lot of petting and praise. If he doesn’t, just put the treat away and try again another time. If you get frustrated and yell at him, you are only encouraging him to stay away.

The Right Cat Bowls

Cats are finicky creatures and when it comes to eating or drinking water, the bowls that you supply her food and drink in must be acceptable to the animal for her to use them. In other words, cats will stay away from her food bowl if it does not appeal to her.

Cat Beds

One of the best beds that you can give to your cat is one that is actually perched on top of a high area, known as a cat tree. Cats for some reason love to nestle themselves high up in the air, above everyone and everything inside the house. That is why investing into a cat bed that can be built into a high-rise perch is the perfect spot for your cat to snooze the afternoons away.

Portable Cat Carriers

Last but certainly not least, part of your cat inventory supplies should include some type of carrier unit whenever you have to leave the house and travel with your pet. Every cat or kitten should have its own carrier. This allows for safe travel without the worry of your pet being injured or escaping and injuring you in the process.
