Installing Floor Tiles

floor tile Floor tiles

There are some basic things you need to consider when adding up the cost of installing floor tile. First, what type of subfloor do you have? The subfloor is the surface below whatever you are walking on. Usually it will be concrete (known as a slab) or wood slats or plywood raised above the ground (raised foundation). Both types require some very specific materials and techniques in order to get a tile job that both looks good and will stand up under use.

Protecting Floor Tiles

Of all the tiles that we use in our house of floor tiles are probably the most vulnerable tiles. They are different from many of the other flooring surfaces. When your tiles leave the factory, they have been through a barrage of treatments. In their initial stage as molten clay, aluminum powder may have been added to strengthen the tiles. Next, they may have been treated with a glaze to add a layer of protection and enhance their appearance. From there, your tiles were fired to immensely high temperatures, essentially cooking the tile, and further sealing the glaze. Finally, your tile is treated to a sealer which will protect it, both in transit to your home and then again once it’s set in place in your home.

Lip gloss is a substance that is either bottled or placed into a tube for applying to the lips to make them shine, and to protect them. Among the different types of makeup products that women use, one of the most commonly used is lip gloss. Lip gloss makes a difference in the way a woman’s lips look. There are different types of lip gloss available.

Inventor of lip gloss fashion

Max Factor was the original creator of lip gloss back in 1930 when he was searching for a way to make actresses in the film industry have shiny, glossy lips while on camera. One of the first actresses to wear his lip gloss was Lillian Gish in 1928. Max Factor had already invented the first makeup for motion pictures in 1914, pan-cake makeup in 1937, cover-up makeup in 1954, and to the delight of women everywhere, in 1971 he created the world’s first waterproof makeup. He even invented and coined the word "makeup."

First product

The first product Max Factor created for commercial distribution was called X-Rated and was successfully debuted in 1932. This product promised to make women’s lips glossy with a subtle shine. Lip gloss offered an alternative to heavy lipstick, providing a more natural look that was lightweight, clear and subtle. The formula for X-Rated was successfully continued until 2003 when Proctor and Gamble bought the Max Factor line of makeup and discontinued the famous X-Rated gloss.

The most common type of lip gloss

The most common type of lip gloss in the market is the type that comes in rolling tubes, and in different colors. However, in recent years, these kinds of lip gloss have also been designed to serve other purposes apart from providing color for women’s lips, which include keeping a woman’s lips hydrated. Usually, these are lip glosses that contain aloe, glycerin, and Vitamin E, all of which can help moisturize the lips. In relation to this, another type of lip gloss is the shiny lip gloss, which apart from the ingredients mentioned previously, also contains oils.
